Groupe-E is currently deploying its smartmeters in many private homes of the canton link. Those devices provide the possibility to monitor the energy consumption and production in private homes with a resolution of 15 minutes. Although indivduals can access and visualize the data; the tools offered by the compay are very limited and do not offer any mean to optimize or understand its own usage.
Within this project, the student shall develop an open-source solution allowing individuals to better understand and analyse their consumption by providing advanced visualizations and potentially offering advanced analytics. The proposed solution shall rely on state-of-the-art visualization and machine learning techniques in the domain of energy consumption analysis. Ideally, the developed solution shall work offline on the private computer of the user, but we are open to discussion.
