Real-time spatial audio rendering for localising speakers

Supervisors: Josh Elias Joy, Denis Lalanne

Student: TBD

Project status: Open

Year: 2026

High fidelity spatial audio can improve realism and immersion by making sound appear to originate from the speaker's mouth. When multiple speakers are present, spatial audio rendering helps listeners perceive each participant's voice coming from their position in space. This project aims to develop a real time spatial audio rendering system that localises a speaker and delivers a more natural acoustic experience.
