Designing a Standardized Interface for AI Disclosure

As Generative AI becomes ubiquitous in higher education, assessing student work requires transparent communication regarding the extent of AI assistance. This project aims to design and evaluate a standardized "AI Disclosure" interface that allows students to accurately declare their AI usage. Using a human-centered design approach, the student will define a taxonomy of AI assistance, develop an interactive web prototype, and evaluate its usability and impact on trust with both students and educators. Ultimately, the project seeks to shift the paradigm from unreliable AI detection to proactive and transparent AI disclosure.
