JournAI is an offline journaling app designed to provide a personalized and secure approach to mental well-being. Unlike traditional journaling tools, it integrates advanced features such as daily, weekly and monthly mood tracking, associated with activity tags to help users identify and analyze factors influencing their emotional states over time. These tools enable users to gain deeper insights into their emotional patterns and support better self-management of mental health.

A distinguishing feature of JournAI is its integration of AI. The system analyzes journal entries to extract meaningful information, generating visualizations that track well-being trends. This makes JournAI particularly valuable for individuals who may lack regular access to professional support or who prefer the flexibility of digital journaling over classic journaling.

While the app includes a base language model, it is designed to allow users to integrate their own models, ensuring adaptability to personal needs and hardware constraints. While the AI can be interacted with via a chat interface, this is not a primary feature in the current version. Future development may extend its AI capabilities for valuable interactive chat support.

Importantly, JournAI operates fully offline, guaranteeing 100% data privacy and security. All information remains stored locally on the user’s device, eliminating risks associated with online storage or data breaches. This offline-first approach ensures confidentiality, allowing users to engage with the app without concerns over privacy.

By combining the benefits of journaling with AI-driven insights, JournAI aims to promote emotional well-being and personal growth, offering users an accessible, customizable resource for managing mental health.
